Admission Information
Admission Criteria
The ELP faculty consider the following elements in evaluating applicants for admission:
  • At least three years of professional experience in education or an
    educational related field
  • Full-time employment in education or in a related field
  • Leadership experience and leadership potential
  • The ability to succeed in group settings
  • Strong analytical, writing, and speaking skills
  • GRE scores of 500 or more on both the verbal and quantitative sections and an analytical writing score of 4.5 or greater
  • Three strong letters of recommendation including one from a supervisor
  • At least a 3.0 junior/senior undergraduate GPA
  • Professional goals that are consistent with those of the program
Faculty also consider diversity of experience and balance in a cohort in terms of professional experience in K-12 or postsecondary education.
