Overview
The project to develop Information Technology
and Policy Curricula (IT&PC) for Electronic Records Management
and Preservation addresses the need to broaden the base and increase
the level of archival expertise in the area of electronic records,
as well as the need to increase the basic knowledge of related professionals
of the challenges and opportunities that information technology
poses for recordkeeping and preservation. It also reviews and contextualizes
research and development in the area.
The curricula products of this project are
designed for use in undergraduate and graduate education in computer
science, information science, information policy, archival science,
preservation management, business and law in order to prepare the
future generations of professionals in fields which face issues
associated with electronic records management and information technology
implementation in general.
