This three day workshop held each summer is designed to provide institutional
researchers and others who work with CIRP, YFCY, and/or CSS data a comprehensive approach to analyzing college
student data. The workshop is designed to provide a balance between formal instruction, group activity, and
hands-on practice in using the computer to analyze data.
Participants have the opportunity to learn and apply Astin's Input-Environment-Outcome (IEO) model for organizing
and conducting studies of student development and college impact. Special topics will include: calculating retention
rates, assessing environmental impact, and disseminating CIRP/CSS/YFCY data on campus.
Download the 2007 brochure to read about the workshop in greater detail.
The cost for the
course and materials is $615. You may provide your own lodging or stay on campus at
UCLA's Sunset Village conference facility for $119 a night for a single or $144 for a double roon.
