Bayer, Alan E., et al. "Violence and Disruption on the U.S. Campus, 1968-1969" EDUC REC, 50. 69 Fall. (EJ010291)

Student protests during 1968 and 1969 were most prevalent at large universities, non-sectarian, 4-year colleges, and institutions that accept only students with high average ability and achievement levels. These and other institutional characteristics were found to be linked with campus unrest in a survey of a national sample of 427 institutions. Popular protest issues and university responses to them are summarized. (WM)
