EducationEd.D., University of California, Los Angeles, 1967 Research InterestsHer research addresses assessment and accountability models, the design and validation of technology-based learning and assessment systems, and new models to measure complex human performance in large-scale assessments. Professor Baker is involved in international, national, and state policy deliberations on assessment. She is the current chair of the Board on Testing and Assessment of the National Research Council. She co-chaired the committee that produced Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing published in 1999. She directs UCLA's Center for the Study of Evaluation (CSE) and co-directs the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST). Recent PublicationsBaker, E. L.
