Information Studies 200 -- Information in Society.
Examination of processes by which information and knowledge are created, integrated, disseminated, organized, used, and preserved. Topics include history of communication technologies, evolution of literacy, development of information professions, and social issues related to information access."

Information Studies 270 -- Introduction to Information Technology.
Introduction to theories and principles of information technologies. Topics include social issues of information technologies and design and development of information systems. Background for further studies in information retrieval and design and maintenance of information systems.
