If you have been experiencing problems with the playback of the Quicktime files, either no playback or poor picture quality, you probably need to adjust your Quicktime preferences to work properly with the streaming server.  This is easily done.

1) Open Quicktime, and choose Quicktime Preferences from the Menu.

2) This should open a screen that looks like the following:

3) Click on the Transport Setup button, a screen should open that looks like this:

4) Quicktime is probably set up to determine the protocol automatically.  Click "Use this protocol" and select HTTP.

5) Then, underneath make sure to change the Port setting to Other and type in 554.  Click OK.

6) Close Quicktime and return to Doug's homepage to watch the movies stream seamlessly...
