Digital games are at the center of conversations about technology and
learning. The interest and participation in digital games has increased
exponentially in the last few years as evidenced by the number of publications
and conference meetings in industry and academia. The number of hours
spent on these games must be in the order of hundreds of millions. Until
recently, boys and men dominated the digital games worlds, but this
picture is changing rapidly in different ways. This workshop that
will examine new issues around gender, games and computing and develop
an agenda for the next generation of research informed by current national
and international issues and perspectives.
