Arrival of Asian Peoples:

 The immigration waves of Chinese in Cuba were as follows: [1]

  • 1847-1874   Chinese Coolies
  • 1865- 1885  Californian Chinese
  • 1919-1925   Mainland Chinese

Geographic and Labor Concentration: Most Chinese Coolies were found in the province of La Habana and Matanzas and worked in the sugar cane plantations as contract laborers. [2]
