This site describes archives, libraries, and other information sources in Chiapas, as much to serve the archives and libraries by posting their information on the Internet, as to facilitate academic research and inform the public about the history, development, and culture of the the people and institutions which are involved in the creation, care, and dissemination of information in Chiapas, Mexico.

This site was created as a project for the Winter 2002 course, Information Studies 207: International and Comparative Librarianship, at UCLA under the direction of Dr. Clara Chu, who has given permission for this site to be updated.
