Richard Rorty, 1931-2007

Richard Rorty, RIP, major American philosopher. I had lunch with him some months ago and he appeared weary and we found out later he had cancer, but he continued to struggle on.
Son of a Trotsykist, James Rorty, Richard was a true liberal with ambivalent attitude toward Left and critical theory but strong animus against the Right.
