Year After Katrina, Bush Still Fights for 9/11 Image - New York Times
Like the Wizard of Oz, Katrina revealed Bush to be a bumbling buffoon... See Spike Lee's twopart do on Katrina on HBO, "When the Levees Break," a remarkable constellation that deflates Bush administration and demonstrates the magnitude of their failure and inhumanityYear After Katrina, Bush Still Fights for 9/11 Image - New York Times

The Smirking Chimp - Robert Parry: 'Israeli leaders fault Bush on war'
As I suspected, Bush encouraged Olmert to go hard against Hamas and Hezbollah in their May 23 meeting; there are also reports by Seymour Hersh that Cheney encouraged Israelis to attack.... more blood on the hands of the Bush-Cheney Gang.... Israel Asks U.S. to Ship Rockets With Wide Blast - New York Times
the US arming of Israel with dangerous weapons that create civilian casualties could create much more hatred of US; as long as Bush is president we and the world should be very, very afraid. The Nights of Peaceful Sleep are over... Israel Asks U.S. to Ship Rockets With Wide Blast - New York Times

Terror Arrests Play in Political Arena - New York Times
Not surprisingly, The Bush-Cheney-Rove administration and their fellow travellers like Loser Lieberman, are using the terror threat to pump up conservative policy and attack liberals as weak. Well, we are a 1000 times more endangered since Bush-Cheney policies have created a whole new generation of terrorists who hate the US because of Iraq, Israeli destruction of Lebanon and the general arrogance of the Bush-Cheney Gang and their fellow traveller like Loser Lieberman; we have lost significant allies and made big enemies under the Bush regime. Now even objects of everyday life like water bottles or baby food is a suspected terror item. Life is hell under Bush and we -- and the whole world-- need a change.... P.S. Last night Keith Obermann on MSNBC was highly skeptical of the political timing of the release of the alleged terrorist plot: evidently Blair told Bush around Sunday night and the next day Cheney, Tony Snow, Loser Lieberman and others were taking up how its important to be tough on the war on terror and how liberals like Ned Lamont were endangering the country. Then when the attacks were announced, they were all over saying I Told you So." This was definitely orchestrated as a major attack on liberals and will play out fiercely for months. We need to argue that we are in danger largely because of Bush administration policies... Terror Arrests Play in Political Arena - New York Times

Lieberman Defeated in Democratic Primary
Loser Lieberman vows to run as Indie, going against Democratic party primer voters; antiLiberman forces this time should push his close relations to the Cheney's: how he tanked in debate with Cheney in 2000 election Vice Presidential debates and after 9/11 he teamed with Lynne Cheney to go after critics of Bush war policies. Here's my earlier post on this= it's excellent that Bush Iraq supporter and smoocher Lieberman is going down; I'll never forgive him for his pathetic debate performance with Dick Cheney in 2000 election and then teaming with Lynne Cheney to go after the Left post-9/ll. Ed Herman sent following post on the latter:
"Friends: I just sent off the following letter to the NYT. Below the letter is a web address for a very good article on Lieberman and the American Council of Trustees and Alumni and its role. Please circulate as this is a neglected area in the Lieberman record and of course especially relevant to people in academia. Ed Herman ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the Editor July 30, 2006
New York Times Dear Sirs: Your editorial on “A Senate Race in Connecticut” (July 30) fails to mention another important piece of evidence bearing on Senator Lieberman’s claim to be “a champion of civil liberties;” namely, his sharing with Lynne Cheney of the chairmanship of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni. This organization was founded in 1995 to counter the alleged “anti-Americanism” rampant on U.S. campuses, “the weak link in America’s response” to 9/11, by urging university trustees and alumni to put pressure on their institutions to bring the anti-Americans to heel. Their report on “Defending Civilization: How Our Universities Are Failing America,” lists the names of 40 professors (including the president of Wesleyan University) and presents 117 campus incidents as “evidence” of anti-Americanism, quite a few simply attempted explanations of why some people abroad might hate us. This attack on academic freedom and throwback to McCarthyism and Red Channels has never been repudiated by Senator Lieberman. Sincerely,
Edward S. Herman
