Ed230B Assignment #3 - Theoretical/Interpretation : Journal article review and critique

In this assignment you will be given an article published in a social science journal that reports the results of one or more multiple regression analyses. You may also choose your own journal article, but you must obtain approval of your choice from the instructor. The purpose of this assignment is to interpret and critique the regression analyses performed in this article. The report should include the following points:

1. Briefly describe the purpose and procedures of the study and the variables analyzed.

2. Describe the analyses performed in the paper.

3. Interpret the results of the analyses performed in the paper.

4. Discuss whether the conclusions drawn in the paper follow from the analyses reported.

5. Discuss the extent to which the authors tested and/or addressed the assumptions underlying multiple regression.

6. Discuss weaknesses or problems with the analyses reported in the paper and describe alternative analyses that could have, or should have, been performed.
