THE ARTHUR M. COHEN
and FLORENCE BRAWER COHEN FELLOWSHIP
Established
in 2003, this prize is awarded to a student who has advanced to candidacy
and for the PhD and is working on a dissertation focused on community colleges.
The first recipient was Michelle Plecha, who is researching the impact
of the community college baccalaureate on the culture of the community
college.
In addition
to The Arthur M. Cohen and Florence Brawer Cohen Fellowship, students interested
in the study of community colleges have access to funding opportunities
through Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) positions that are available
to first and second year students.
